Getting Pregnant
The best time to get pregnant is at the most fertile point in your menstrual cycle. Your ‘fertile window’ includes five days before ovulation and the day of ovulation. Ovulation usually happens 14 days before your next period begins, but it can vary from month to month.
In-vitro fertilization (IVF) is a complex series of procedures used to help with fertility or prevent genetic problems and assist with the conception of a child. It is the most effective form of assisted reproductive technology. We can help you understand how IVF works, the potential risks, and whether this method of treating infertility is right for you.

Baby Birth
Medical assistance during the delivery of a baby can vary from the use of medicines to emergency delivery procedures. An easy birth and a perfectly executed birth plan are ideal. But we know that even the most carefully planned birth can take twists and turns. Hence, we advise you to acquaint yourself with the following delivery methods.
- Amniotomy (“Breaking the Bag of Water”)
- Cesarean section
- Episiotomy
- Forceps delivery
- Induced labor
- Vacuum extraction
- Vaginal Birth

Your First Scan
Your first prenatal visit is an important milestone for having a happy and healthy pregnancy. Generally, your first ultrasound may take place when you’re around 6 to 8 weeks pregnant. However, in the case of IVF pregnancy, ultrasound is scheduled at about 4 to 5 weeks after embryo transfer, which would be about the sixth or seventh week of pregnancy. This scan checks/confirms the following:
- Confirms your pregnancy
- Shows how many babies are present
- The presence of a heartbeat
- Whether your baby is growing inside the womb
- Whether your baby is developing as expected
- Helps detect your baby’s age
- Find your accurate due date
- Presence of any internal bleeding
- Checks for any pregnancy complications
- Check your uterus, ovaries, and surrounding organs
The newborn is the very spring of life and hope! The science of newborn management has undergone a lot of technological revolution; anticipation and appropriate management of sickness is the cornerstone of improving the life of a newborn. Care in the post-transition period could feel overwhelming but here is a checklist to help you:
- Breastfeeding technique
- Urinating and stool habits
- Weight-gain pattern
- Jaundice in newborn
- Timely vaccinations
- Sleep cycle of the baby
- Choose baby products wisely
- Diaper care
- Sanitize/wash your own hands often
- Handle with care
Pregnancy
You’re going to have a baby or are planning to have one! It’s an exciting time, but it can also feel a bit overwhelming. You may have a lot of questions, including what you can do to give your baby a healthy start. To keep you and your baby healthy during pregnancy and after, it is important to fix a doctor who is going to be on this journey with you from the beginning.

Feeding Baby
On day one of life, your baby’s stomach is the size of a marble and can only hold 1 to 1.4 teaspoons of liquid at a time. As your baby gets older, their stomach stretches and grows. Please note, different babies have different paces and preferences, along with other factors that influence the frequency of feedings. We strongly recommend you keep your doctor in the loop till you get a hold of it.
